Shiro, also known as white miso, is made from soybeans and rice. It is fermented for no longer than two months. Shiro Miso is light in color with a sweet and slightly salty taste. Kikkoman Shiro Miso Soup is topped with Wakame seaweed, scallions and Yaki-fu. Wakame seaweed is an excellent source of iodine, vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Yaki-fu is fried wheat gluten (similar to breadcrumbs) that adds texture and carbohydrates to the soup. Try this delicious, quick and authentic Japanese Shiro Miso soup!
Preparation: stir the powder into 160 ml of hot water.
