In Japanese – “seven flavour chilli pepper” or also known as shichimi. A traditional Japanese spice mix, which consists of 7 ingredients: coarsely ground red chilli pepper, ground Sichuan pepper, roasted orange peel, black sesame seeds, white sesame seeds, hempseeds, ground ginger, seaweed. The mix may vary and sometimes contains poppy seeds, yuzu peel, or rapeseeds. The spice mix is used in soups, with noodles and rice, or as a seasoning on rice crackers.
